Givenchy Pre-Fall 2012 Lookbook

It’s no secret that I’m crazy for Givenchy (who isn’t?) and this collection is just another reason why Givenchy is becoming the most-watched house out there by men and women alike.

It features the same design elements of previous collections like the shark-tooth lanyards from the women’s line, marine-inspired elements, tons of leather, cut-outs, men’s earrings, the ever-present sandals, street-wear, the infamous rottweiler, stars, and the color green. The blue is also a nice touch, a color which I haven’t seen at Givenchy before.

I love that they used Simone Nobili. The lookbook also features Willy Cartier but I thought he looked a bit awkward in the looks. While Simone was perfectly suited to the urban backdrop and masculine styling.

I know it’s been covered by everyone and their mother but this is my take on it.

Here are my favorites:

I’ll either get the sweater or the t-shirt version, depending on price and availability.

I love the cut-outs in this sweater.

This army jacket is MAJOR. I love the pure-white fur hood.

Okay, one Givenchy post done. Two more to go.

Good job, Riccardo.

YSL Homme Spring Summer 2011

As much as I want to play dirty, I’m a clean boy.

I envy those dudes that can carry off the bad boy I’m dirty but I smell really good look. Maybe it’s cuz they’re my type. haha. What a dilemma.

Directed by Kacper Kasprzyk

BTW, I love white sheets. The video embodies pretty much how I want to live.

YSL Homme Spring/Summer 2011 is how I would dress if I could afford it.

Alas, with most of the world I can’t afford fashion retail prices. If you can’t buy the clothes, buy the peripherals. Shoes, bags, perfumes, and accessories are the money-makers of the fashion industry.

I’ve been coveting these hi-top sneakers (ABOVE) on for months now. And to any of those familiar with the popular online store, they tend to sell out. FAST. And the ones above did. Hopefully, I can still buy them in store or on

Wish me luck:)

Crooks & Castles

I was so happy that Crooks & Castles made this shoe. Desert boots are definitely in, but I wasn’t sure if I could pull these off until I saw this hybrid. It’s still a boot but also a sneaker. I’m only 22, I can still rock a legit desert boot with a classic sole later on in life, probably from Clarks.

Don’t even get me started on Clarks boots.

I was so on it this morning. I woke up early because I knew it was coming in today. So right when I heard the UPS truck turn into my street, I ran out of my house and was at the gate to accept the package.

Here’s a funny thing when I looked online to see what the Tracking page said about the “LOCATION” of the shipment:

I guess I am said “MAN.” Kinda funny:) No?

So, what did I buy? Click more to find out!

I love everything about these shoes. Even the price, which was marked down from $110 to just $80, at

I first saw these in stores but I didn’t have the cash and they didn’t have my size so I looked online and found these. Move fast guys, these are bound to be sold out quick.

These are the more expensive version:

YSL Desert Boot – Beige

Cost: US$537.20 plus shipping

I definitely scored a good bargain.

And did I mention Crooks & Castles has a similar version. Oh yes they do!

Guess who’s getting these neeeexxxt? Hahaah!

Is it sad that shoes almost fulfill me as much as food? Like, I don’t even feel I have to eat dinner now. I need to lose weight anyway. I didn’t name this blog “FashionFatty” for nothing:)

Hello Again…

It’s been too long since my last post.  I just felt like I didn’t have anything to offer the fashion blog universe (my term for the millions of fashion blogs that pop up every second). After a long hiatus, I feel like blogging again because my brain can’t contain all my crazy obsessions, wants, music finds, and, of course, fashion happenings that blew my mind while I was away from my precious blog.

So here’s what has happened in my life and in the fashion world while I was “away” from this blog of mine:

Yes, I sported horizontal stripes in recent months. Considering I’m not stick thin, I found a way to rock this look. I predict this trend will peter out pretty fast but it still won’t stop me from wanting a black and white striped cardigan.

– Military Green

It’s everywhere. Military green, I mean. Not Kim Kardashion, though some may argue that she is in fact ‘everywhere.’ Look at the military green Hermes Birkin. Bag envy big time! I’m green with it. Get it. HA!

*Note: Beiges, Khakis, Camel, anything neutral is in right now.

– Sweat Pant Chic

I WANT THESE! They’re Balmain Homme sweatpants. Approx. $600US. A quarter of the price of their jeans. Sweatpants are like man leggings. Worn over boots as seen above, so fresh. Talking about leggings, here are the new versions….

– Jeggings

Yes, those are jeggings. They look like the real thing right? Amazing. Wish they made them for guys…but the man bulge could be a problem. Told you military green was everywhere. Love the model’s hair…love her whole look actually.

– The Hair Cut

I’m not gonna lie. Rihanna was my hair inspiration. This is what my hairstylist friend came up with. I love how it came out, but I can love it a lil more. I’m going in soon to get the blond to white blond like the right pic of Rihanna.

–  Kate Lanphear for Eddie Borgo Jewelry

I DIED! I love this woman. Kate Lanphear is a style icon. Finally someone saw her as more than street fashion blog fodder. Now she’s the face of Eddie Borgo Jewelry. Her signature ultra white blond hair is perfect for this shoot. I wonder if she styled it too. Stacking bracelets on her arms is also one of her signatures. Look for her name in Elle US fashion editorial credits, and see what she can do. See more here.

– Pierre Hardy Colorama Graff Sneakers

The instant I saw these babies I WANTED them. They were made for the Autumn Winter 2010 collection. Alas, my budget for designer sneaker shopping is nonexistent.  And believe me, my heart is breaking. There are so many I want to get out there. Shoe post to come soooooooon.

– Rolex Air-King

The Air King is my favorite model of Rolex watches. It definitely looks like a Rolex and has the appropriate price tag, but it’s less flashy and more timeless. Leave the jubilee wristband for the old-timers. I first saw the Air King on Hypebeast, see here. If only the watch above didn’t have the bold numbers…I like the look of the one seen on Hypebeast better.

Can I just say I resent the fact that every wanna-be fashionista out there is grabbing up Alexander McQueen pieces left and right. If I see one more skull scarf on a fashion blog I might lose my shit!

Love all the people that took a peak at my blog while I was away.
